There is a 15 minute break in the morning and pupils are encouraged to eat fruit/vegetable sticks for their morning snack, which may be brought from home.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Y2 will get a free school dinner if they wish. For children in KS2, school dinner money should be paid on a weekly, half termly or termly basis. Forms for ‘free school meals’ in Key Stage 2 may be obtained from the school office and we encourage all parents (Reception – Y6) who are entitled to free school meals to make use of this for their children. Families in receipt of income support or some types of family credit may be entitled to apply for free school meals. Information is available from the school office. Please note that everything is treated in strictest confidence.
Children may bring a healthy packed lunch, or buy a school lunch. Fizzy drinks, any type of nut product and sweets are not allowed in school. Lunch times are fully supervised. If you wish to change your child’s meal arrangements at any time please inform the office in writing – notice must be given, for kitchen arrangements.

Mobile Phones

Children are not allowed to bring mobile phones into school except those in Years 5 or 6 who are travelling to and from school independently. The mobile phones will have to be handed to their teacher at the start of the day for safekeeping until the end of the school day. Please ensure that your child does not use the phone before or after school on school grounds.

Parents are advised that valuable items such electronic games, ipods, jewellery etc. should not be brought into school. Children should not bring toys, games etc. into school unless they have been given authorisation by their teacher. The governing body accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of such items.
